In a night where few games can make or break a playoff spot, we look to the Tretiak Conference where two teams need 1 point to clinch, and one team needs a perfect night to reach the post-season.

Krefeld enters play this evening 4 points back of both Cologne and MODO. Krefeld will face division leader Linkopings and the HPK Pumpkins tonight. Krefeld has the tiebreaker if both MODO and Cologne lose.

Cologne enters play tonight needing just an OT loss (one point) to make the playoffs. Cologne will face Hamburg and Munich. Cologne could possibly have the tiebreaker with MODO as the first three categories are tied at the moment, but would need to put up big time points this evening.

Lastly MODO enteters play this evening needing just one point, just as Cologne does. With MODO holding the tiebreaker currently over Cologne in Goal Differential, but could easily change with Cologne getting a win and MODO getting none. MODO plays Linkopings and HPK.

As you can see the play-off race comes down to the final two games of the season for these three teams. Although it may not be a GOTN it has many people watching, as it could get interesting.

Tonight is a make or break situation for Krefeld. Krefeld needs to make ground on MODO and Cologne soon. With four games remaining, it is time to see how tough Pinguine is. HPK comes into tonight, wanting to be spoilers and ruin a teams playoff chances. They play both Pinguine and MODO over their next four games. This could be a huge positive on XSBUCKS resume as he has made some major strides in his second season as an owner.

HPK will definitely be bringing their big guns tonight hoping to make a statement. Krefeld will need to play them tough, as Linkopings is their other opponent over the next 4 games.

Tonight a red hot Leksands Idrottsförening team takes on a team in Espoo who has already clinched a playoff birth. Leksands, comes in only 8 points back out of 4th spot. They need Jew's Karlstad to falter and win out to make it. So this is a very tough game considering they play Espoo 2 more times after tonight. As previously mentioned Espoo has clinched a playoff birth but for them its whether they will get the #1 or sit 3 or 4. Owner Razor needs to use these final 6 games to tune up his boys and prepare to defend his KHL title

Expect another exciting match-up, which no doubt will be a test for both teams. With only 6 games remaining, both teams has something to play for.

Helping Leksands go on a miracle run and keeping them within striking distance of the last playoff seed in the conference, Gucci had a monster week for week 7, posting some of the highest point totals by a single player all season in any given week. In 8 games he posted 17 Goals, including 3 PPG, 4 SHG and 2 GWGs, and 13 assists for 30 points on the week finishing a Plus-19 with a 3.50 PPG average. He’s going to need to continue on this pace and hope that FBK struggles this week if Leksands hope to overcome a ten point deficit. This is Gucci’s first POTW nod. Vive le Québec libre or whatever.

Tonight is a matchup between two conference rivals battling for playoff positions. Cologne enters play having a 6-3-1 record over the last 10 games. On the other bench, Modo comes in with an identical 6-3-1 record in their last 10. Both these teams currently sit in the 3rd and 4th position in the Tretiak Conference, respectively. One loss could knock them out of a playoff spot (for the time being) as 2 points separate 3 teams for the final two spots, thus making this game ever more important. Modo currently holds a 2-0 lead over Cologne, head to head (if a tie breaker was needed), but have been close games (5-4 and 4-3 OT).

Expect another tight match-up, which no doubt will be a thriller. With only 8 games remaining, each team cannot falter. It is do our die.

Krefeld who is currently one point behind fourth place Modo, comes into the game hoping to not only win this one but hold off Hamburg. On the other side of the ice Hamburg is coming sitting 6th and 4 points behind Krefeld and 5 behind Modo. While Krefeld has 11/20 points in their last 10 decisions, Hamburg has 14/20, equating to 7-3-0 hockey.

Kharlamov Conference:

Teschen Silesia HC Oceláři Třinec 30-8-2.                                                                                           Trinec has been the best team in kharlamov for 2 straight weeks. The team is 8-2 in their last 10 games and is rolling offensively. They lead the league in GF with 173 and they are tied for 1st in GA with 96. XILO_ATOMIK led the team in scoring with 9 goals 7 assists in 6 games. I-BaLaia-I went 4-0 with a 1.98 Gaa and a .795 sv%.

Karlstad Farjestad BK  25-10-5                                                                                               Karlstad is 6-4-0 in their last 10 games. Mesmerize-_- led the team with 6 goals and 6 assists in 12 games. Goaltender Kerns35 went 5-3 with a gaa of 2.23 and a save % of .798 . It will be very interesting to see if they can continue to hold the 2nd spot.

Espoo Blues 25-11-4                                                                                                                     The espoo blues are 2nd in GF with 151. They are 5-4-1 in their last 10 games. lDangleShowl had 3.75 ppg in 4 games this week. TheKaner_88 seems to have been their new #1 posting 1.56 gaa and .862 save%.

Mladá Boleslav Bruslařský Klub 25-11-4                                                                                          They are 5-4-1 in their last 10 games. They have pretty much locked down a playoff spot in the kharlamov conference. They were led by COORSI88 who had 13 goals and 4 assists in 7 games this week. Boleslav made a trade to aquire RiseOfTheNinja. They gave up Get_on_ur_knees To get him. Xx1DR_SWAGGER1xX went 5-3 with a 2.52 gaa and a .774 sv%.

Tampereen Ilves 18-20-2                                                                                                                  2-7-1 in their last 10 games. MUDD_FLAPS had 21 points in 8 games this week to lead the team. Goaltender x4_Krejci_6x was 0-4 and did not perform as he posted a .691 sv%. The team is not mathematically eliminated but they are almost done.

Leksands Idrottsförening  16-19-5.                                                                                                  Leksands is 6-3-1 in their last 10 games. They are led offensively by  xGallyChuky_I27I who had 10 goals and 5 assists in 6 games. patdene12 was 5-3 with a 1.40 gaa and .859 save% he has been one of the best goalies. Leksands looks to have turned it around but It may be a little too late.

Geneva Geneve-Servette HC 12-24-4                                                                                           They are 3-6-1 in their last 10 games. They also are not mathematically out but they need to win the remaining games and have teams lose all of their remaining games. Geneva is led offensively by ChiTownMenace who had 18 points in 8 games this week. lAl_CapTaIN_lAl was 2-6 this week he managed to keep a 2.88 gaa and had a .768 sv% he faces a lot of shots as Geneva gives up the most shots per game.

Turku Turun Palleseura 7-26-7.                                                                                                       Turku is 3-5-2 in their last 10 games. They are officially out of the playoffs so they are playing for pride. The offensive was led by u_1_2_B_me_ who had 13 points in 8 games. Goaltender bobbatta posted up a .737 sv%. He had 2-2 record.

Tretiak Conference:

  1. Munich EHC Red Bull Munchen (30-7-3) - Red Bull goes 5-2-1 last week, they lose a game in OT against the Freezers 6-5 in OT, GreekElite was the top performer this week for Red Bull 8gp 6g 11a 17pts. After the long week All-Star break hopefully Red Bull won't go on a cold streak after not playing a game for awhile. I think there is no doubt with only a few weeks left in the season Red Bull will finish with the first seed in their conference.

2. Linkopings Linkopings HC (26-11-3) - Linkopings gooes 6-1-1 last week, they are slowly gaining ground on Red Bull for the first seed in the conference. They are now 8 points behind, Red Bull keeps on winning and so does Linkopings, i doubt they catch them for the first seed, the second seed is just as good. I think it will come down to Linkopings and Red Bull in the playoffs to see who goes to the cup in this conference. They made a trade for Get_On_Your_Knees to help bolster the D-Line, They lose their best offensive producer in RiseOfTheNinja. The question is who will fill that role at LW.

3. Cologne Kolner Haie (20-15-5) - Cologne goes 5-2-1 bringing themselves into a playoff spot with a few weeks left, The last 2 spots are 1 point apart between Cologne and MODO with Krefeld 4 points out of the 4th seed Cologne cant afford to have a off week or they will likely get pushed out of the playoffs. Top player this week and pretty much every week for Cologne was Hare-Krisna 8gp 11g 5a 16pts, he has to keep carrying the load if this team expects to make the playoffs.

4. Ornskoldsvik Modo Hockey (21-17-2) - MODO goes 4-4 this week holding onto the last playoff spot with Krefeld only behind by 4 points T-Man made a bunch of trades, He lands Hardik88, RunLikeHell, Hardik will definitely improve the D side of the team. With a bunch of new players will they have enough time to get things going and figure out what line works best in time to keep a playoff spot?

5. Krefeld Pinguine (19-19-2) - Krefeld goes 4-4 this week, they need to have a better week if they want to make the last playoff spot being 4 points behind, they dont play Cologne or MODO at all the rest of the season so they have to rely on other teams to beat those teams and hope they can win their own games these next few weeks. Top player for Krefeld this week was PavelBure10_ 8gp 8g 9a 17pts. They will need him to keep playing good if they hope to make it into the playoffs.

6. Hamburg Freezers (16-19-5) - Freezers go 5-3 this week they are currently 7 points out of the last playoff spot, the Freezers have been winning more games lately but it might just be to late to make up the ground unless one of the other teams has a terrible week they will be able to catch back up. Rich2k8 is the top player for the Freezers this week, 8gp 8g 10a 18pts.

7. Hameenlinna Pallokerho (15-21-4) - HPK goes 2-4-2 this week, being 10 points out of the playoffs i would say this teams season is pretty much done, they just gotta show up and play their games and hopefully ruin some chances for other teams by picking up a few wins. Im sure we will see XSBucks again in NHL 16 maybe at a GM spot somewhere again, He does a good job at running a team just needs to do a better job during bidding.

8. Vaxjo Lakers (15-22-3) - Lakers go 3-4-1 not like it matters what they do the rest of the season, Lakers season is done with. I didnt expect them to do this bad, thats usually what happens when you put all your hope into one guy during bidding. It has been said multiple times it doesnt really matter how good one guy is if he doesnt have anyone else to play with it won't do the team any good.

Coorsi has been hovering around the top of the leaderboards all season and has been a serious contender for POTW on a few occasions. This week, in 7 Games Coorsi racked up 13 Goals (including a league high 4 GWG’s) and 4 Assists for a total of 17 Points on the week and a 2.43 Point Per Game average. On top of the aforementioned 4 Game Winners, Coorsi also picked up 4 PPGs and 1 SHG, finishing up the week a Plus-3. This is Coorsi’s first POTW nod.

After a brief absence, Socca returns with another solid week, finishing up with 2 Goals and 11 Assists for 13 Points in 8 Games. Not much more to say other than Socca is continuing to dominate the leaderboards and still contribute on the defensive end on a weekly basis. Like it or not, he’s earning every penny of that 10M contract that Linde dropped in order to sign him. This is Socca’s 4th POTW nod.

Tonight is a matchup between two division rivals battling for playoff positions. Pinguine has 5-2-0 record over MODO this season, but MODO is two points up and sitting in the three spot while Pinguine has the five spot. It will be interesting to see how things play out, as the games remaining slowly diminish and the trade deadline approaching next week. Will either team add a piece to make a push? I guess we will see.

Nova and co will have their hands full as Trinec has one of the most explosive offenses in the league. But that's going without saying that anyone can beat anyone. Tonight is the first meeting between the two juggernauts, and should definitely be a dandy.

Power Rankings Week 5

Kharlamov conference:

1 Teschen Silesia HC Oceláři Třinec 24-6-2
Team is 8-2 in their last 10 games. Trinec lead offensively by Nifttee who  had 24 points in 6 games and was 4 ppg. 2nd to him in scoring on the team this week was Xilo posting up a 3.25 ppg in 8 games. Goaltender I-BaLaia-I went 7-1 with 2.13 Gaa and save % of .813. This team has been really producing well. I don't expect them to miss a beat this upcoming week.

2.  Karlstad Farjestad BK 20-7-5
Karlstad has been on a roll as of late. In their last 10 games they are 7-1-2. They were led on scoring this week by ENCELADUS-STRIKE who had a 2.25 ppg in 8 games. Goaltender Kerns35 went 5-1 in net posting a 2.65 gaa and a .742 save %. This team is looking good where they are. I expect that they will continue to play close games and pull them out.

3. Espoo Blues 21-8-3
Espoo has been playing solid in their last 10 games going 7-2-1. Espoo is led offensively by jeff0012 and ACEFIVE as together they put up stellar numbers Jeff has 3.5 ppg in 6 games and ACE 3.75 ppg with 4 games played. zimDman posted a 2-2 record but had a .780 save % it looks as if he might be showing he is ready to be the #1 G in Espoo.


4. Mladá Boleslav Bruslařský Klub 20-9-3
After being #1 last week they fall to #4 as they had a rough week. COORSI88 was the leader in points with 2.5 ppg in 4 games. Xx1DR_SWAGGER1xX had a solid week with a 3.00 gaa and a .760 save%. Swagger went 3-3 on the week.  Dalton only produced .80 ppg this week and they will need that to change.

5. Tampereen Ilves 18-13-1
This team won their last 4 games of the week over good teams in high positions in the league. They aquired  MUDD_FLAPS in a trade from vaxjo. Mudd posted a 2.88 ppg on the week in 8 games 4 games were with Vaxjo I should remind you. Since the aquisition IIves have gone 4-0. BudZ is very happy with his teams performance after talking to him earlier today. I expect IIves to continue their team.

6. Leksands Idrottsförening 11-17-4
Leksands is 4-5-1 in their last 10 games. They have started to slowly pick up their play. Chaskin12 led the team in points as he had 12 points in 6 games. This team has been picking up in the backend as well as goaltender patdene12 has another spectacular week. He went 3-5 but had a 3.01 gaa and a .789 save%

7.  Geneva Geneve-Servette HC  10-19-3
This team is 4-5-1 in their last 10 games. Maze_z8 Led the team offensively with a 2.60 ppg in 5 games this week posting up 8 goals and 5 assists. Poor goaltender lAl_CapTaiN_lAl had a good week but had no help it appears. He posted a .779 save% in 7 games and was peppered with 104 shots against.

8. Turku Turun Palloseura 4-22-6
In their last 10 games they are 0-6-4. u_1_2_B_me is the team leader in points with 16 in 8 games. He has been the teams only bright spot through this recent slump.

Tretiak Conference:

1. Munich EHC Red Bull Munchen (25-5-2)  - Red Bull go 5-3 this week, they pulled out a lot of close wins and lost a few close ones this week, their 3 losses coming against teams nobody would expect to beat Red Bull. 2-1 loss against Krefeld, 3-2 vs the Freezers and 3-1 against HPK to end the week.It looks like the forwards struggled this week for Red Bull, they usually put up much better numbers, the top point player was GreekElite 8gp 5g 7a 12pts. I am sure he will bounce back and have much better numbers next week.

2. Linkopings Linkopings HC (20-10-2) Linkopings go 4-3-1 this week, slowly gaining ground on Red Bull for the #1 seed in the conference. Linkopings HC get a huge boost this week after acquiring jdheagle in a trade, he had a stellar week for this team 8gp 14g 13a 27pts, I didnt look at the games to much but my guess is Nova has found his answer for a center on the team, despite the teams good record and success they still have a weak spot at goalie which can be huge come playoff time.

3. Ornskoldsvik MODO Hockey (17-13-2) - MOD goes 3-3-2 this week which isnt that great, they remain in a playoff spot at the midway point of the season. MODO lost  two close games in OT this week 5-4 against Karlstad and 6-5 vs Krefeld. MODO ended the week on a W with a 5-4 victory over Cologne The top point guy for MODO this week is yet again l-Gino71-l 6gp 9g 10a 19pts, Beantwn_Beatdwn didnt have a strong week in net 2-4 3.06 GAA 722, He will need to have a better performance next week.

4. Cologne Kolner Haie (15-14-3) - Kolner goes 4-4 this week, they are trying to hold onto the last playoff spot midway through the season, Kolners leading player this week is Hare-Krishna 8gp 8g 13a 21pts, Dont know what else to say and i doubt anyone cares if i say anything more about this lame team.

5. Krefeld Pinguine (15-15-2) - Krefeld goes 6-1-1 this week, their best week yet, PNCPark buys out his captain and does everything he can to get PavelBure_10s buddy ttocsgnuoy spending 13 mil, He is just one guy and this team is still not that good, They are in the weaker conference which is why they will probably end up in the last playoff spot and get eliminated by a good team in the first round. Thats what sets VGHL apart from KHL when your team is struggling you cant just get your friends to sign up mid-season.

6. Hameenlinna Pallokerho (13-17-2) - HPK goes 4-3-1, HPK pulls off a upset at the end of the week beating Red Bull 3-1, HPK has improved little by little, But i think they will come up short making the playoffs this season. There is still plenty of time, HPK needs to go on a roll right now if they hope to have any hope otherwise XSBucks can look forward to VGHL season 10 on NHL 16 if he plans to play.

7. Hamburg Freezers (11-16-5) - Freezers go 4-4 this week, losing their first 4 games then winning the next 4, is this the start of a big winning streak? In this conference one great week can put you back into playoff contention,with half the season in the books i think the battle for the last playoff spot in this conference will be pretty close, last season we seen teams with losing records in the playoffs.

8. Vaxjo Lakers (12-18-2) - Lakers go 2-6 this week and they seem to just keep getting worse week after week,on paper they dont look as bad as the record shows. Lakers have made tons of trades this season and have had lots of buyouts, there is still time left to get back into a playoff spot. Lakers just have to start winning some games and cant afford another 2-6 week with only a couple weeks left in the season.

Tonight the leagues favorite ginger (Dalton), leads his team into Tampa Bay... I mean Karlstad. Jew and Strike, have assembled a very strong team to contend for not only their division but the conference. Jew is not the only one, Dalton and Coors have assembled an equally talented squad and both will continue to take aim at the #1 spot. In a very tough Kharlamov Conference, the "Klub" is fourth, and Karlstad is second BUT only one game up on the "Klub."

Dalton will most likely bring his big guns as he wants to propel his team into second, behind a fellow ginger with magical powers in Nifttee. Expect Dalton and Jew to meet at puck drop playing center. Swagger and Kerns in between the pipes. With Sobo, and Knees on D for Dalton and DJ and glove for Jew. As for the starting line Mes, Jew, Strike against Laydown, Dalton, Coorsi.

It is a very even match-up across the board, but this is a very important game for not only both these teams but many within the division and conference. With Boleslav being 5-5-0 in last ten after a hot start, they need to turn things around fast and hope Tampereen continues to tread water.

With the D being on display tonight, expect Jew's Karlstad to come out on top in a very tight game.

Continuing on incredibly solid play, Bal puts up another crazy week, starting all 8 games and racking up 7 W’s. You can point to Třinec’s overall dominance last week as a reason for Bal’s record but I would argue that they don’t go 7-1 last week without him. He faced the 3rd most shots of any goaltender last week and still had the lowest GAA of any goaltender with 6 or more starts at 2.13 and a league high .813 SV%. And to think, Bal wanted to play RW this season… This is Bal’s second consecutive POTW nod.

POTW Week 4

Weekly Recap Week 4

More than halfway through the season now and its pretty clear some teams are hot, some are too far behind and the rest of dueling things out and really have to earn their spots.


Red Bull still flying away with wins and top spot in the league with 52 pts. I think having a lot guys from the same club takes away from the beauty of this league which would be drafting players pretty much from scratch and developing a team that can compete but who wouldn't want to take the easy route and just stick with what you know. What can you do, you cant join them so somebody better try to beat them.


It seems pretty clear they will hold onto their division title  as they steadily plug away wins left and right. Not a bad week going 5 wins and 3 losses. This will leave Kolner Haie, Freezers and the Lakers to battle things out. All of which are in a pretty tight race for 2nd place in their division now. Nobody is running away with a comfortably lead other than red bull. Kolner Haie has been consistently in 2nd place in this division but its pretty much anybody's game for the remainder of the season and Kolner will have to squeeze tight to hold onto it.


Same story with the Federov division. Its going to be interesting to watch this division  for the rest of the season. Linko, Modo, Pinguines, HPK all have to battle each other for a playoff spot whilst being right in the middle average of league pts. It will soon become the battle of who wants to finish the season with an average or an above average team. Just to note Pinguines had a pretty solid week with 6 wins 2 losses which is why they are back in the run. Having had a not so good record so far. Linko is first in the division so far with an average week 4 wins 4 losses. Linko is close to top 5 for pts in the overall league but as far as this division Modo isn't too far behind and right behind them is Pinguines and HPK.


Karlstad finally returns to having a solid week with 6 wins and 2 losses. But the new hot team besides Red Bull is HC Ocealari Trinec. Karlstad seemed to have the stronger start of the season but week two and three they started slipping a little bit while still being pretty consistent with some wins. But this week and somewhat lately Trinec has been on fire. Busting out 7 wins 1 loss this week. Trinec is number one in their division and two overall with 50 pts this season.


Boleslav still riding their turn around. Slipped up a bit with only 3 wins and 5 losses this week but still enough pts in their division to stay top two and top 5 in the league overall with 43 pts which isn't too far behind both Blues and Karlstad with 45 pts.


Started from the bottom now still there.. Geneva, and Turku will have the hardest time climbing out of the bottom after this week and overall season. Freezers have been down in the past but have climbed above the Ilves by grabbing 4 wins this week.  Freezers usually a notable lower team but kicking up the competitiveness lately. But Geneva doesn't have much a shot anymore in their division parting from a lot of luck hoping the good teams lose and them stealing wins as much as possible. Same goes for Turku having a pretty terrible week with 8 straight losses. HPK is another usually on the notable losing side but they have given themselves a decent chance to stay above the bottom at least going 4 wins 4 losses this week and as noted earlier their division playoff spot is more obtainable than any others.

Thursday's GOTN

Mladá Boleslav Bruslařský Klub  at Tampereen Ilves

Yesterdays game featured a Tretiac Conference team, the Pinguini's, trying to get into the playoffs tonight we will look at a Kharlamov team trying to make the top four. The Ilves play KLUB tonight in a game that can likely decide the fate of their season. If they can upset Klub and also play a Geneva team that is better as of late they can close the lead on that coveted fourth place spot. Otherwise they are going to slip into the bottom four and the rest will run away with it. The Ilves beat Linkoping and Espoo Bluess last night, so there is reason for hope, although they are 4-5-1 the last ten.  
Klub ,7-3-0 , the last ten, however is feeling locked in to make the playoffs and chasing the number one  spot in the conference. They are playing solid roster top to bottom.
Tampereen also looks good on paper and recently acquired Mudd_Flapps which could help them make a final push.

Klub is a great opponent but I think Ilves will pull off the upset wit their season on the line.

Espoo won the Tuesday game of the night over Karlstad   4-3 on overtime and Lemieux lost the prediction. LeBlanc21_  was the winning goalie over biglamb420. Acefive had three assists, Jeff00012 had two goals and one assist, hypnotize had 2 points (1g,1a) . Raz-orr had six hits on D and aali786 had 2 points (1g,1a).

Wednesday GOTN

#5 Krefeld Pinguini's vs #1 Red Bull Munchen

KEV is 6-4-0 the last ten games and last night beat Klub 5-1 in game two, who had a 12 game win streak broken by Geneva in game one Monday night. Tonight they play Red Bull who is tops in the conference nad leading the Makarov division. The Pinguinis are inm the Federov division and ten points from first place in the division. Overall the Pinguini's are 5th in the conference. 13 points from first in the conference and four points out of second place and the coveted top four for playoff spots. Krefeld does not have much hope to win the conference but is hoping to sneak into the top four spots. Scoring nearly five points per game the last week, Krefeld looks to get on a roll. Munchen defeated Krefeld their first matchup of the season 1-0. These teams both look different though.

Munich owner and forward Linde picked up some solid players in JBarnett and CodyMcormick, to bolster an already strong team featuring Greekelite, Isles_taveres and Max_beast_Max and they are not looking over their shoulders anytime soon. Isle_Taveres is the number one overall Defenseman in the league and with 13 goals, forcing teams to guard the point. He is #2 in plus minus with +37, schroyer69 is +40. BlaKFire6616 has been playing most games at net and is allowing 2.87 GAA, which is good and ALCHY-OPS is also playing net allowing in an impressive 2.38 goals per game.
I-BaLaia-I leads the league in goals allowed average 2.21(with over ten games played).
Krefeld Owner and Goalie PNCPark is looking to pull off his best GM performance yet and go from worst to first. To do that they have to start now and pull off an upset tonight. New captain PAVELBURE10_ says,”We are a completely different team now, I think the pieces are in place to proceed with confidence.” Stickyfingers is on IR for Krefeld and can only help the team when healthy, until then Tru Hype and newcomer recki will have to carry the load. They also picked up former Genva captain Dynasty1989 which should help them steady their defensive core. PNCPark2k1 plays most of the games in net, is third in the league and has a  respectable 2.86 gaa.

Munich is the real deal and third in the league in scoring. They will have the Pinguini's on the ropes,who defense ranks middle of the pack. But this depends which Krefield team shows up, the one to start the season, or the team starting to roll.  If the Pinguinis can win in the face-off circle, then look for KEV to pull off the upset.

Karlstad is 2-0-1 vs Espoo so far this year with two of the games going into overtime. Karlstad BigLamb has cooled off andis 7-7 as goalie. Espoo is goaltending by committee with ZimDman getting most of the games. Espoo is third in the league in goals scored and 6thin goals against. Karl is 5th in goals for and 3rd in goals allowed. Karl Mesmerize is 6th in the league in goals scored with 34 and 4th overall. Espoo is number one in faceoffs in the league but I expect Karlstad To pull off a victory.

1. Mladá Boleslav Bruslařský Klub 17-4-3
Mlada is 10-0-0 in their last 10 games. By far the hottest team in the league. They out scored their opponents 41-11 this week. They dominated everyone. Goaltender hellstar23 posted up 3 wins in 3 games with a .897 save % and a 1 gaa. Captain COORSI88 led offensively with 17 goals 11 assists for 28 points in 8 games this week. Defensively again Get_on_ur_knees was a honorable mention in D of the week posting up 12 assists in 8 games.


2. Teschen Silesia HC Oceláři Třinec 17-5-2
Trinec is 7-2-0 in their last 10 games. Nifttee led the team offensively producing 8 Gp 11 goals and 20 assists. This is a very good team that has been neck and neck with espoo. Goaltender I-BaLaia-I posted up a 4-2 record a .803 sv% and a gaa of 1.93. ProdigyToLegend picked up 16 points this week in 4 games. Trinec is really striving and a very tough team to face.

3. Espoo Blues 16-6-2
Espoo was ranked #1 on last weeks kharlamov conference power rankings but this week they slide to #3. 5-4-1 in their last 10 games has seen them suffer a fall from #1 in the conference to #3 but they are only a few points behind. ACEFIVE had a bit of a down week as well as jeff0012. Acefive picked up 9 goals and 6 assists in 8 games which is a off week for him. jeff0012 picked up 7 goals 7 assists in 8 games which is also a off week for him.  LeBlanc21_ had a good week in net despite going 1-3 he faced 65 shots in 4 games as he stopped 52 shots making a .800 sv%. Expect to see a huge bounce back week next week from Espoo.

4. Karlstad Farjestad BK 14-6-4
Team is 4-4-2 in their last 10 games. Their scoring was a little bit off as they scored 19 goals in 8 games. They were swept in a home and home vs mlada Boleslav. 5-1 and 3-1. They started the week with a win over Espoo 3-2 in OT. They had 2 other games go to OT as well 1 fell in their favor with a 2-1 win over TPS but lost to IIves 4-3 in OT. JEWOFCANADA had a fairly good week with 3 goals and 7 assists in 5 games. Goaltender biglamb420 had a decent week as well posting up a .745 sv% and a 3.00 gaa in 4 games unfortunately he was 1-3.


5. Tampereen IIves 14-10-0
IIves are 5-5-0 in their last 10 games. IIves are only 4 points back of 4th seeded KFB. Goaltender x4_Krejci_6x had a 5-3 record posting a .723 sv% and 2.85 gaa. OohDat-Twiggle_ posted up 5 GP and had 4 goals and 9 assists. IIx_BudZ_xII posted up a goal and 3 assists in 6 GP with a +3 rating. Tampereen stayed undeafeted in OT by beating KFB 4-3. Expect to see this team rise next week.

6. Leksands Idrottsförening 8-13-3
They move up in the power rankings. Team run by chaskin12 seems to have maybe turned a bit of a corner. They are 4-4-2 in their last 10 games. Chaskin put up 7 points in 6 games this week only having a -3 . DASN1PA put up 12 points in 4 games and is so far proven to be a producer through tough times. Goaltender patdene12 posted up a 4-4 record a sv% of .774 and a gaa of 2.60 this is what Leksands need if they are going to make a playoff push.

7. Geneva Geneve-Servette HC 6-16-2
Geneva led by chitownmenace . Geneva has gone 3-6-1 in their last 10 games and is falling farther and farther back. Goaltender lAl_CapTaiN_lAl was the teams bright spot. With a 2-4 record he had a .764 sv% and was peppered with 89 shots. In this week they released captain Dynasty1989. Class_Act_27 only picked up 11 points in 6 games but recieved 23:00 PIM in 6 games. This is a team that will need that too change if they are going to turn things around.

8. Turku Turun Palloseura
Turku is 2-7-1 in their last 10 games. They have been at the bottom all year. Team goaltender bobbatta was the teams bright spot he posted a .717 sv% in 4 games. He was 1-3. Scoring was a little off as U_1_2_B_me_ had 3 goals and 9 assists in 8 games. If they want to turn it around they will need more scoring from their forwards.

1. Munich EHC Red Bull Munchen (20-2-2) Red Bull goes 6-0-2 this week, they lost in OT 4-3 to Linkopings HC and 5-4 OT loss against Vaxjo Lakers. GreekElite is the top performer this week for Red Bull with 7gp 10g 15a 25pts, You also cant forget about defensive player of the week Isles_Tavares_91 8gp 5g 10a 15pts, They had 3 different goalies play this week which seems to be the rotation on the team between Alchy-Ops, BlakFire6616 and M_a_Bster,. I dont think there really is much else to say about this team this week, they have won almost all of their games for the first 3 weeks. Red Bull looks like they are the best team in the league right now.

2. Linkopings Linkopings HC (16-7-1) Linkopings HC went 6-2-0 this week both losses were blowouts 7-1 loss vs Boleslav and 7-2 loss against MODO, Linkopings also acquired jdheagle for NowYoDead and Goodfella from Turku Turun. Nova1739 and RiseOfTheNinja had the same amount of points this week with 18. Amazing was their best goalie this week going 3-0 with 1.33 GAA .895%, also what i said last week about them playing Red Bull on Sunday night, They ended up with the win beating Red Bull 4-3 in OT and proved that they can beat them.

3. Ornskoldsvik MODO Hockey (14-10-0)  MODO goes 5-3-0 this week, they suffered 2 losses to end the week against teams they should probably beat 9 times out of 10. 4-3 loss to Krefeld and 4-3 loss to HPK. Come-_-At-_-Me_- was the top offensive player this week for MODO with 6gp 10g 13a 23pts. Beantwn_Beatdwn got the nod for most of the games in net this week, he put up decent enough numbers to win when the team is scoring. He went 5-1 with 2.34 GAA .689% in most cases a save percentage that low wouldnt be good enough to pull out 5 wins.

4. Cologne Kolner Haie (11-10-3) - Who cares

5. Vaxjo Lakers (11-12-2) - Lakers go 3-4-1 this week which is not that good for a week, they pull out 2 wins at the end of the week 5-4 over Kolner Haie and 6-2 over the Freezers. I am pretty surprised Do_The_Evolution bought out fellow girl kisser CodyMcCormick8 i always thought they played together often, Maybe they had a breakup? These things usually happen in league, thats why in most cases its not good to involve friends on the team to avoid things like this. Oriolerules44 takes over as captain and they are going to try to pull it together and get some wins next week.

6. Krefeld Pinguine (9-14-1) - Krefeld goes 4-4 which is probably their best week yet, PavelBure_10 was the top offensive player for this team 8gp 9g 6a 15pts, Even with the overhaul of the team these guys just dont seem good enough to win games consistently, they will continue to struggle and pull out a few wins next week. There is no defense or offense the only guy who can do anything is PavelBure_10. Maybe PNCPark will think about giving fellow media team member Lemieux_Polamalu more games on D?

7. Hameenlinna Pallokerho -  ( 9-14-1) - HPK goes 3-5-0 this week, Its coming to the midway point to the season and the team doesnt seem to improving much, they may be slightly better but not good enough to have a chance at the playoffs. There is still half a season to be played so anything can happen. Champ--514 was the standout player for this team this week, not really great numbers for a standout on a team 8gp 6g 8a 14pts, XSBucks also fired  captain Sinneront and DonkeyX takes over as the new captain, maybe DonkeyX can help turn things around in HPK.

8. Hamburg Freezers (7-12-5)  - Freezers go 2-4-2 this week seems like nothing is improving for them as they keep losing games, they trade snipe_snipe_420 and Campnadian to Ilves for Hardik88 and RunLikeHell-. The Freezers won that trade, Hardik88 will provide a good Dman needed to play next to Foreign_Object and RunLikeHell- is a forward who can score which is what this team needs. With the addition of those 2 players i think they will have a better week next week.

Sunday's GOTN

Last Game....
Vaxjo won the Thursday game of the night over Cologne 5-4 and Lemieux_Polamalu won the prediction. Lakers lost time of possession and lost face-offs but won the game. oriolerules44  was the winning Goalie over chigirlbow. Mudd_Flapps had three points, Stevo 1129 had five points and Evo had four points. My_Glove_Ull_Luv and Baltek were the D and each had one assist.

Kharlamov Conference #1 Mladá Boleslav Bruslařský Klub vs Tretiak Conference #3 Örnsköldsvik MODO Hockey

MBB Klub is 10-0-0 in the last ten games, making TheGinger's team the hottest in the KHL to start week 4. Owner and Klub Forward DaltonTheGinger7 said, “I was playing bad so benched myself and the team started winning.”  With my former Ottawa senator teammate, Xx1DR_SWAGGER1xX  on IR, Hockeyman_16king(1.40) and hellstar23 (1.00 GAA) have stepped up and played well in net. Partly because they have Get_on_ur_knees on defense, earning that 9.5 million dollar salary. Get_on_ur_knees is a +32 which is third in the league behind schroyer69(+35) and Isles_Tavares_91(+33). It will be interesting to see if they can keep up their winning ways.

Modo is in 2nd pace in the Federov division , five points behind Linkopings and third in the conference. They have a solid 6 poins lead over 5th place and are not looking over their shoulder anytime soon, but looking up trying to win the division.  They are playing very well and are 7-3-0 the last ten games. T-Man goalie is playing well 2.50 GAA  but Beantwn_Beatdwn has been taking most of the snaps at center and is has a respectable 2.42 goals against average.  Modo's “Thy Great” Giino is third in the league overall in scoring and fifth in points with 62 (NIfftee is #1 with 80 points). Come-_-At-_-Me_-  has nearly 3ppg and together they are tough to stop. ScarpingURIce has been playing well at center with DeadlyKush204 on IR. League veterants Dankchank and xYuckox Help settle the team down and even King Sempy found R2 , the pass button.  

This is the first time the two teams have played. They both are tops in offense, defense and faceoffs.
They are both playing great but I think KLUB continues to roll. That is my guess sin this one.

Weekly Recap Week 3

Blues despite having a lot of losses this week still up in the top few overall team pts.  Maybe just a hiccup or a sign of things to come. Losing to Geneva twice is a big hiccup though. Overall 3-5 this week. Should be easy to bounce back from but its clearly alarming the team a wee bit.

After mentioning that i should note Geneva went 2 wins and 6 losses this week so the blues being the only team they beat is obviously concerning.

Dalton Gingerific figured out a new secret other owners could probably learn from.. bench yourself somewhat often haha a lot of owners feel the need to push it 8 games a week and not all of them should even bother when you have picked a decent team, and no offense at all to the gingerly one but he obviously tapped into a secret strategy not a lot of other owners have tried. 8 wins- 0 losses this week with quite a few high scoring games. Continuing a strong run from a not so strong first week.

Linkopings steps ahead beating impressive teams including Red Bull 4-3 OT, modo 3-2, blues 4-0, llves 4-2. Overall week record 6 wins 2 losses contending for their division top spot pretty well.

Modo had a decent week to start 5 wins and 3 losses but the last two set them back a little bit. Competing with linko now presents their biggest challenge.

Ocealari trinec is yet another team with not the best week 1 but emerging from the pack ever so quietly. Steadily plugging away an above average season and going 6 wins and 2 losses this week which seems to be the pace all the top teams have had.

Red Bull continues to be the strongest out of nowhere Bull with wings firing away with wins left and right. Another team that didnt have the best first week but the past two have shown more than enough to say they are here to play. 6 wins and 2 losses this week.

Now getting slippery again is Karlstad still in the running for top pts in the division but going 3 wins and 5 losses isn't exactly just bad luck when they have had success in the past.

Pinguines battling to stay in the middle instead of falling too far behind, may have a slight chance to continue their but i don't think they'll make it to the top, their success lately has proved they don't want to be at the bottom so far though.

I could get into more but its my bday weekend but as always comment on whatever you want, want to see more of, and get your duck nicely rubbed for me please! peace!

Say what you want about his team, say what you want about his style of play, you absolutely cannot argue that Nifttee is effective. Nifttee is the top point producer this week, tallying 11 Goals (including 4 PPG, 1 SHG and 4 GWG) and 20 Assists for 31 points on the week, finishing up a Plus-17 and a league high 3.88 Point-Per-Game average, on top of going 60% in the circle. The Force is real and if you didn’t believe it before, you better believe it now. This is Nifttee’s first POTW nod.
